52 Weeks of Thankfulness: Week 13, Life Lessons

My nephews are super cute, not only are they adorable, but they question my sanity as to why my family and I live in the desert. As one nephew stated, “WHY would you want to live THERE!” Well if you have followed my blog you will know living here was not really a choice.  Nevertheless, life delves us lessons in the most unexpected places; we should always look for the possibilities–even when they are not a part of the plan. As we often state in the military: “Adapt and Overcome.” After all… it is ALWAYS possible to bloom amongst the thorns.  I am very thankful for those life lessons and all the people who have helped me to see past life’s many thorns. It seems these pricks were simply pointing me into a new direction.

Seek the Possible

    1. Joezette thank you for commenting! I think we have to find what makes us smile as you mentioned. Life will not always go as planned. BUT I think steering in another direction always helps. I mean who would imagine a cactus could possess such beautiful blooms?! God certainly sent us a symbolic message when he created these gems. Trust me when I first moved here I was not thrilled for cacti in my yard. But I’ve grown very accustomed to their unique beauty. 🙂
